Looking around, for the first time...

It's amazing how you can drive around in the same city for years-- but just suddenly start looking around.

Hop, skip and a jump away from the perfect shot.

I use a screename as Vanessab. on one of my photo boards I get feedback on my picts, so many of these are stamped with that name. But before I found that site, I find myself those first two years walking through the alleys, driving up and down side streets- trying to find the right shot. These were many results of those days.

The beginning....

Two and a half years ago, I started taking pictures. I got my first point and shoot camera, a Fuji Finepix 5100. And what a great starting camera that was. I loved that camera. It brought my soul alive and made it dance. This is some of my first photography- my first series I sold.

This series was taken at a buttefly exhibit. And if though I thought it was impossible for those beautiful insects to sit still, it was well worth my wait.
